2009 -  Skandinavia Benelux Club Team Match competition

with RANKING POINTS for participating players

Team Match  - Round 1 (Group Play): 1. January – 1. March 2009

It is required that all participating players KNOW and FOLLOW our club and team match rules.

Listed underneath are the RULES all teams and players MUST follow. Rules MAY be changed or extra specified if the need is there.

All players on a team are responsible that rules are followed and scheduled matches are played in time.

To not follow the rules may result in disqualification of the team and players WITHOUT further notice. This means: Team will lose it’s score, players will lose all ranking points in this round, players will not be able to join any team for a certain period.

Joining a team:

Each team must at any time have a manager, a member who is main contact for the team, and who takes decisions for the team where it is necessary. But each team member have personal responsibility so team manager is able to perform his/hers duty, regarding registering team, making agreements with other teams to play, set up a team to play at a certain time, and reporting results properly for every played match.

Who can join:

Skandinavia Benelux Club Team Match competition is open to ONLY MEMBERS of the club who are NOT suspended for any reason. Complete memberlist is found in the ‘Members’-section of this website. If any doubt, contact Gezzell ( Team Match Manager ) or  KjellH ( Club Manager) ( or some other TDs/Hosts who has the overview. (list of these TDs/Hosts are listed in helpers section of the website)

In each round of the competition, players may be added to the team, but noone can be removed, and a player can only be member of ONE team. Maximum number of team members is 9 – NINE. Before new round of team match competition starts, team members may be replaced or removed. New members may be added to a team during a ‘playing round’ ( but allow time for registration). For new registration or any change of the team, ‘Team Registration’ form must be filled in COMPLETE with names of ALL players on the team. A team or change in team data is not valid until it shows at the web-site (Registered Teams). Players who want to be removed from a team, must mail this information to  gezzell@bridgefriend.com AND kjellh@bridgefriend.com .

Preparations for Playing Team Matches:

The teams are placed in groups. Each team is playing 1 - ONE – team match vs. ALL other teams in that group. All teams must be available to play ca. 1 team match every week. It is necessary that all teams make direct contact with the other teams to agree on playing hour, preferably on email, so you have documentation for agreement. A copy email for agreed team match should be forwarded to Gezzell and KjellH so agreement can be added to the schedule at website. This is the most flexible ( team managers will be supported with email address for the other team managers). BUT: if a team does not reply on a request, or it is difficult to make agreement with a team, or a team does NOT show up for scheduled match, this MUST be reported (attaching documentation) to gezzell@bridgefriend.com AND kjellh@bridgefriend.com . Action will then be taken. When a match is decided to play at certain hour, the team managers notify the team members about the starting hour, and have one team member ready to step in in case one player is prevented from participating ( That should not be any problem with the possibility of having 9 players on a team ). The manager should also as far as possible rotate the team members, so as many as possible of the team members can play team matches.

Playing Team Matches:

When a team match is about to start, one player creates the match according to the competition rules, AND notifies KjellH, Gezzell, Hannie123 or mopdahl ( if online ) that team match is about to start.

While playing, both ‘functioning’ team managers should make notes of info that is needed for sending ‘Result Registration’

Finished Playing a Team Match ( IMPORTANT):

·         Notify KjellH, Gezzell, Hannie123 or mopdahl that team match is played ( and name of teams )( This is so board-history/movie can be captured before it disappears from server)
